About Me

A Little About Me...

I am married and I have two sons.  James is a  junior in college at Texas A&M - my alma mater.  My other son,  Jack started Kindergarten this year.  Yes, they are 15 years apart!  But, they still manage to argue on family vacations!  My husband is also an educator-junior high and high school.

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was four years old and I  have been fulfilling my dream for the past twenty-five years! Time really does fly when you’re having fun.  Most of my  experience has been at the primary level. During this time, I have enjoyed teaching first, second, and third grades; as well as, special education and dyslexia. I have taught in small towns and inner city schools. Currently, I am teaching Second Grade in a very small rural area. In my school, we are currently departmentalized. I teach reading and language arts to 40 students. I have also been self - contained and responsible for all subjects. Second Grade is definitely my favorite teaching assignment.

One of the things I love about teaching is planning fun and engaging activities for my students.  I thought I would share with you.

Thanks for visiting,
Jennifer
